Roderick Langston, born and raised in Elberton, GA. He graduated Cum Laude at Fort Valley State University, with his Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education and is currently pursuing his Masters in Educational Leadership at Kennesaw State University. At Fort Valley, Langston served and graduated as a fellow of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Teacher Quality & Retention program. Additionally, representing the university as Mr. Senior. Langston is currently an employee of the Cobb County School District where he works at Griffin Middle School as a 6th grade Accelerated mathematics teacher, lead robotics coach, and Math Bee Coordinator. Langston has been fortunate in life to find his purpose in life. Heading each of his days with this famous quote by Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”. Thus, making it his mission to provide everyone he encounters cognizant of the possibilities education presents. His interests are community service, child development, and promoting self-awareness. His hobbies include reading, writing, traveling, and volunteering of services.
