I became a mathematics teacher later in life. I received my master's degree from the University of Arizona's "Teach Arizona" program. I've taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics in both Arizona and New Mexico. I teach 8th grade mathematics and Algebra 1 at Cuba Middle School in New Mexico. I am currently a participant of the IrRational Number Institute and Math Teacher Leader Network (Los Alamos National Laboratory).
