Jacqueline’s work has been driven by a fusion of her passion for empowering young people and her love for the sciences and maths. She has recently left the classroom to serve as a Math Instructional Coach. Jacqueline began teaching seven years ago in France and upon her return to the states she spent two years teaching in Prince George’s County Public Schools. Her new husband moved her to Baltimore where she has spent four amazing years teaching Algebra I and chairing the mathematics department (grades 6 to 10) at the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women (BLSYW).  While at BLSYW, Jacqueline encouraged her eighth grade girls to find solutions to real-world problems using the Standards for Mathematical Practice. She brought excitement and play in with every lesson. Additionally, she supported school leaders, teachers and parents in the Baltimore City Public School district in understanding the value and overall advantages of the new standards. Jacqueline believes that providing teachers with the best training is the key to maximizing student achievement.
