Limited Capacity seats available

Writing is an important literacy skill for mathematical proficiency. In this session, presenters will share their collaborative effort to implement writing in the middle school classroom. Hear from a team of teachers who have been working together with a professor from Lipscomb University's College of Education to learn how to incorporate writing strategies in the classroom. Writing in the math classroom allows students to explain how they solved the problem, use their mathematical knowledge to describe real-world scenarios, justify their answers, and use writing as a reflective tool. You will leave this session with writing strategies that you can implement in your classroom on Monday.
