Probability Everyday

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

In this session, you'll be introduced to a variety of hands-on activities that introduce probability and ratios before they are taught - like "The Wheel of Chance." All of the activities shared are low-tech ways to illustrate, experience and explore probability and ratios, supporting deeper learning by showing students how these concepts can be found in everyday life. It will also give examples of how to use ratios for classroom management and helping students work on conversions.

6th Grade Teacher
I have taught 6th grade for the 5 years, in many types of settings. I recently move to Texas from New Mexico and it is interesting learning a new school system. I have learned students do well when they don't even realize they are being taught something new and are engaged.
