Embracing the Struggle: In the Learner’s Seat

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Take off your teacher hat and experience problem-solving from the learner’s seat!
In this session, you will sharpen your problem-solving skills by exploring a highly engaging math problem that will push your mathematical limits: the evil veterinarian problem! Patterns and functions are the basic building-blocks of this deep, rich problem. Participants will engage in high-level, intriguing mathematical exploration to find the solution. While solving the problem, we'll explore the critical elements of an inquiry-based mathematics lesson with a low-threshold (so anyone can participate) and a high ceiling (allowing for differentiation beyond the basic math principles).
