Explore how to use the CCSS and PARCC evidence statements to align those great story problems or 3 Act Math tasks to increase cognitive demand and student engagement in your class.  Participants in this session will unpack a standard they plan to teach within the next few weeks and align it to a rich and engaging task.  They will then craft a lesson plan or learning experience that also builds rich math vocabulary and fosters oral and written student discourse that can be assessed with a rubric. (Bring your computer.)
